NUMBER 1 IN APP STORE
2 weeks after the launch of the app in Denmark, the app was number 1 in the app store in the category "purchasing".
ONLY is an international fashion brand for young women. It has more than 700 physical stores in Europe. It is owned by BESTSELLER.
ONLY wanted to develop a loyalty app that its customers could use to gain benefits when shopping in their physical stores. The objectives of the app were to let users view promotions, vouchers, games, track their purchases, receipts, and points earned. In addition, ONLY wanted to inspire and engage users with fashion tips through images and videos.
The administration system was expected to handle marketing assets across geographies and languages. These assets were to be created for several occasions, such as a welcome voucher, birthdays, games, fashion news, and videos.
We developed this app in close dialogue with ONLY. First, Tiblo designed interactive prototypes to showcase the user experience. These prototypes served as the basis for development.
Then, the information architecture was designed to ensure scalability in the future, with focussed sections on promotions, campaigns, membership details, and video engagement.
The administration system was equipped with features to upload, create, and manage all marketing assets, such as vouchers, scratch cards, promotional messages, videos, news, and campaigns. The in-built functionality organised assets by countries and languages, providing custom control to display or hide elements as per marketing requirements. Additionally, it was possible to send push-messages to the users to promote specific promotions and offers.
After the interactive prototypes were refined and finalised, Tiblo developed the app and the associated administration system.
The entire system is deeply integrated with the stores’ cash registers and BESTSELLER’s underlying IT architecture and systems. This means that customers get points automatically when they make a purchase. Likewise, their voucher is automatically displayed in the app when they have purchased something. Bonuses and vouchers can be used directly from the app and are picked up by the cash registers.
There are several built-in mechanisms to prompt users to open the app. Likewise, there are several mechanisms to retain users in the app. The app, thus, promotes user engagement with ONLY and it increases awareness of the brand.
